MOITAMOSTRA 2026

MOITAMOSTRA - Encontro D'Artes em Meio Rural is an annual event, organized by GEIC in partnership with the Associação Desportiva e Social da Moita and with the support of CM Castro Daire and JF Moledo, which this year will mark 20 years of consecutive activity, providing duringand 8 days, access to culture by the local population, in a disadvantaged region, interior of Beira Alta, through the presentation of various projectsartistic and a brief residency for artists, allowing the sharing of experiences and knowledge among the rurural and urban, thus making its contribution to the cultural and social cohesion of this region of the country.

As for meals, MoitaMostra has a working comunity kitchen fully vegan preparing dinners (5€). There is also a restaurant near by with various options of home cooked meals for lunch and dinner.
The MOITAMOSTRA event takes place in the village of Moita, parish of Castro Daire and district of Viseu.
Own means of transport is recommended, since there is no public transport in the village and it is about 30 km from Viseu and 17 km from Castro Daire.
You can opt for the express network, there are several schedules every day, to Viseu from Lisbon or from Porto.
